Live Coding

I had the pleasure of giving a guest lecture to students studying sound in the department of art in Lancaster University. Given the challenging task of introducing concepts surrounding live coding in a limited time frame, I chose to work with the excellent Sonic Pi application. The students very quickly grasped the concepts and we built an audio sampler/slicer tool. This then resulted in some experimental sonic works with a short performance at the end. Very glad to have had the opportunity and I look forward to future workshops in the coming term!
